it's been a great trip to hk! & now that i'm bacK..hahaha..time to chronicle my lil trip. basically, hk has lotsa 7'11s, Watsons,McDonald's, Mannings(exactly like Guardian. only logo is slightly diff), alot of boutiques & lotsa mango franchised dessert stores. the layout of the shops and buildings are really messy, & they've got numerous small little roads with dangerous back alleys. another thing is tt their MTR stations have got lotsa shops! Maxim cakes, Okashi Land(jap tidbits), Beard Papa, etc. hmm..oh, & their guys are definitely better looking than singaporean guys. seriouzly! muz be the climate or smthg. but hell, i wish i had a camera fone, to snap all their pictures to share w the girLs! aww..dang! missed my family & frenz..hahaha, yeah, missed u too, hangloon~~hope u had a fab 19th birthday *grin* nice to know tt they missed me too by their msgs on squash trainings, proj meetings, movie outings & help for tutorials. but overall, the trip was not too bad. here's a short daily summary:


SaturdAy
flight was good, but in my opinion, too short! reached the hotel in midafternoOn.didn't do mucH at tsim sha tsui(kinda like orchard rd?), juz hung ard & explore that area.had wanton noodLes for dinner.*yuMmy*~


Sunday
had a short day trip to hk island, and seen the jumbo restaurant on the sea + many glistening yatcHes. feast for the eyes. the jumbo ship is truly magnificent! *kowtows before stanley ho*--filthy rich guy who has underground dealings & a sharp biz mind. hk pple like to show off their wealth, by dressing up & driving ard in flashy cars. in fact, it's numero uno when it comes to highest no. of imported sports cars in asia! think multiple porshes, ferraris & lambourghinis tt i've seen. *wink* met siu bunn (sis & terrence's fren) for dinner. he brought us to the peak, took photos, and we walked ard the entire mountain. A-mAzing view tt few gets because they don't venture ard the darker roads. pity pity *grin*
saw this interesting tower, tt tells the time, thru the different colours on the 4 panels. but...requires skill, coz u gotta know which colour represents what no. !


Monday
visited shenzhen(part of china) dangerous place w crafty pickpockers. highly skilled. went to Window of the World (Shi jie zi chuang), whereby they replicate every impt feature of every country in the world. of coz, s'pore is denoted by a merlion. summer weather is terrible. bloody hot! but it was fun, yeah.


Tuesday
slept in, & woke up late. ocean park was bustling by the time we arrived. scorching sun as usuaL... saw lotsa stuff, highlight was the aquarium. amazing man! 3 levels of a single aquarium. it's really great! sat some rides..*boring* it wasn't fun...so disappointing. in fact, the ride in NP's funfair was even more thrilling than those there! but the other side was good. planning to burn the photos into a cd. if u wanna take a look, lemme know!


Wednesday
went to Tai Koo, but didn't buy anything. in fact, hardly bought anything. mood was dampened..shan't say anymore bout it. pissed me off aLot! met siu bunn for lunch, ate jap food.*yuMz* then..hung ard, went to visit terrence's old place, then met up w siu bunn again for dinner and more shopping at Mong Kok, while my sis went to meet her Resmed HK colleague, & terrence w his old pri sch fren-Yian yi. hanging out with Siu Bunn was great! :P he's got an enigmatic charisma, combined with his height & gd looks...well, let's juz say he commands some att'n everywhere he goes. anyhow, i had the best time out of the 3. exciting dinner manz. fight broke out in the diner! even the police came. will release more details on request. hahaha.. yupz. he also brought me to the shadier areas & even saw a prostitute haggling :P
eventfuL day manz.. slept super late. the Da Vinci code was too enticing...only gave in to my tired eyes at 5am. can't wait to get my hands on the unveiling of the da vinci code. lotsa interesting facts bout the Mona Lisa tt's so fabulous! truly amazing guy with sly gimmicKs to push his ideas.


Thursday
woke up late again, checked out, had lunch at The Spaghetti hse. walked thru this whole stretch of higher class shops & boutiques at Park Lane, & proceeded to Mong Kok for more shopping. but again..mood was dampened. what the hell manz... didn't buy anything, and then had to rush back to catch the coach to the airport. my sis & terrence had trouble w their tickets..so they had to catch a diff flight tmr. me? well..i came back on my own. :) was almost late for the flight! once i passed the passport checkpoint, i ran all the way from Gate 1 to my gate--31..even dropped my earring from all the running. luckily, i managed to retreive it. was breathless by the time i reached. thank god i made it! but anyway, they can't leave w/o me, coz my luggage is on the plane. & they're suppose to leave w/o the passenger coz who knows, they might stash bombs on the plane & stuff like tt. flight was gd, lesser turbulence than b4. and woOoo..haagen daz ice-cream! & my parents surprised me by picKing me up at the airport. Life is good!


well...ttz the end of my lil hk trip. can't wait to get my hands back on the squash racket, and my brain juices working. needa badly lose off my fats! did i gain weight? ABsoLuteLy. no one diets on a vacation!
