What a week, what a terrible week.
I cannot recall such a bout of illness that kept me away from work for almost a week! : X my 14 days of mc has been seriuosly depleted and i'm rather worried now. *sigh*
On sunday, in the afternoon during work, i kinda realised i was coming down with a fever. True enough, by the evening, my legs were practically jelly, my mind was on hibernating mode and my body ached tremendously with a paining headache. swell. no work on monday for me.
And tuesday. Fever plus sore throat. on Wednesday, (frustrated at the miserly 1 day mc each time), i went to work..only to be sent back home by noon, coz my head was really spinning.
Fever + sore throat become worse with flu and cough.
Today (Thursday), I STill have fever, flu, cough, slight gastric wind, vomiting and giddiness perpetually all the time.
Oh gosh. What's wrong? Thankfully, i changed doctors. please DO NOT Visit Raffles Medical Toa Payoh! Really bad. All the doctor did was to give me medicine for the illnesses I told her. My family doctor actually delved in deeper (actually, I haven't been to see her for years...*laughs*)
So..I'm lined up for a blood test tmr morning. Great. At Least something else is done. Fever and giddiness for 5 days.
*sigh* I hope i bounce back in time for our company dinner at Fatty Weng restaurant tmr evening! :X
This bout of illnesses are really too much. All I can be thankfully for is that it isn't dengue or chicken pox :P
I Hate my job. I Seriously do! I feel that I am tolerant, but only to a certain level and my job..has bypassed that level by just that little bit.
For your info, I'm a sales co-ordinator. But to spare you from collecting earwigs w a long explanation, I'm just in admin. Paper work, recording things, staring at the same things day in day out. It's of utterly Zero challenge..oh wait. The challenge is to finish all the paperwork, do it perfectly and to help my colleagues do theirs. Exciting!
I can literally peel off the layers of rust gathering around my brain, pushing away the thick canopy of moss snaking around my head. Oh gosh. I badly want to quit. But the practical side says no, because it'll hurt my resume. *sigh*
It's really draining, doing something you hate. Meaningless paper work, keying in information that is really other people's work, not yours. And what do you get? Eyepains. Backaches.
What Shit.
The most unimaginable thing..(well, not really THE most) happened earlier on..when I was leaving home around 10pm to collect an item from my friend. There was this huge group of men (20s - 30s) outside the corridor, talking about..catching.
So i left as planned, and called home to get my parents to check out what happened. Apparently..They were CID officers, here to arrest my neighbour (2 men just opposite our unit) The old man (40+) was arrested elsewhere already, while the young man (20+) has still yet to be apprehended. They were allegedly involved in a huge loan shark business and are in a gang and the older man is said to be a rather big shot.
I've never met the old man...just the young one. They've rented that unit for a few months already, but they're always out so I never actually got the chance to meet them properly. Which is just too bad. Imagine if they got me to describe his looks to a sketch artist! How cool.
Anyway. I had a lovely evening yesterday. Had dinner at Wah Lok, Carlton Hotel with my colleagues from Caesars. The food was divine. So yummy, so delectable, so enjoyable. The company was great, with laughter all around. Bernard regaled us with tales and interesting happenings throughout the night, ranging from the weirdest topics like sharks to karaoke bars. Learnt a couple of things.. street-wise stuff from him. *winks*
Retired to Father Flanagan's (rem my bday meal with my gfs there?) for an after-dinner drink. I had a lime margarita, while i recommended a daiquiri to hq. think she would have prefered my margarita to the daiquiri. maybe we'll try others next time. ( :
Lovely drinks, Good food, Great Company. What a perfect combination for an absolutely relaxing night. And I really needed the relaxation.
