It was a small farewell, with my family, terrence and jj.
But WoW, was it a great flight or what!

Flight to UK: Qatar airways, transiting in Doha, Qatar.

At first, at Changi, I was disappointed to discover that I was so late to check in, that my 2nd leg of the flight would be seated seperately from Jacky. However, as luck would have it, both of us got bumped up to Business Class!
My 1st time in Business Class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it : D

Left: Check out the legroom! I snapped this while sitting in an 'Eating' position.. there're 3 diff degrees of resting positions, with the 'zZz' sleeping one almost flat out horizontal with tons of leg room. Damn shiok. Even the blankets have a better texture than the Economy class.. Makes me wonder about First Class : P


Right: Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovely chilled glass of 1997 Laurent-Perrier Brut Millesime Champagne, from France. mMmmm..



























Left: As you can see, Jacky is totally contented with his glass of champagne.
1st course, Appetiser: As a palate pleaser, we were served with caramelised morel in a warm puff pastry parcel.


Right: Aside from my glass of sparkling water, there's a difference btw the glass for me in this pic and from Jacky's. Know why? Coz I moved on to my glass of Chardonnay! 2004 Domaine Rougeot, from Meursault 'Montaine', France.
After the appetiser, came the 5 different types of bread rolls, and Mediterranean Buffet consisting of smoked salmon, foie gras and fig parfait with fennel and pepper salad classic mezze.



But.. here comes the bad news: I forgot to take photos of my main course! Shall just tell you what we had;-


Me: Fluffy omelette with sauteed chanterelle, green asparagus with smoked salmon

Jacky: Lamb Kapsa

Left: After lunch, a really comfortable snooze and some movie-viewing, we commenced ur English Afternoon Tea. Oh my goodness, so much food again. But they're all just so pretty in those plates! Check out the effect of the spotlight. Good yeah? Almost poster-like!

In that small plate on the top left, sits the plain & fruit scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve.
In the main plate on the foreground, from the top left spiralling inwards, are the spicy dry fruit slice, chicken & ceps tart and the roasted marinated pepper tart, reception sandwiches (beef and smoked salmon), finishing off with forest berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrant)


Right: Can't give up the chance to capture the spotlight effect - my glass of orange juice, sparkling water and the beverage menu.























Left: Even the table-top has a nice veneer finish, coupled with my anti-dehydrating glass of sparkling water and my personal (stable) individualised tv set, it's total couch-time for me.


Right: Just to add on to the ooze of the legroom factor, here's another snapshot! Reeaaallly roomy eh? : P










Just when we were about to touchdown at Heathrow, Jacky spotted a huge billowing cloud of smoke. Snapped it just in case some major fire hit the headline news that day :P
